Applying in Public

No curated highlight reel. No “excited to announce” post after the fact. This is the real-time, unfiltered documentation of a job search — the strategy, the tools, the rejections, and the wins. Follow along as I look for my next Revenue Operations role at a Series A/B startup, powered by an AI-first workflow.

Episode 1 — Day 1
Laid Off on a Friday. Documenting Everything This Time.

After being laid off, I decided to do something different this time — document the entire job search publicly. Drawing on lessons from a 2024 layoff, I’m building a modern, AI-powered job search toolkit: LinkedIn for sourcing roles, HubSpot for tracking applications as a pipeline, Perplexity for company research, Claude for tailoring resumes, and OpenClaw for automating CRM updates. The target: a Revenue Operations leadership role at a Series A/B startup, backed by 10+ years across Slalom, DHI Group, and webAI.

Episode 2 — Day 2
AI-Tailored Resumes: From Job Post to Submission in Minutes

Day 2 of applying in public. I walk through my full AI-assisted application workflow: browsing LinkedIn for RevOps roles at Series A/B startups, filtering out companies that are too large, and landing on a GTM Engineer role at Stedi. From there, I use a custom Claude skill to analyze the job description against my resume — identifying gaps, surfacing strong matches, and automatically generating a tailored resume. The final step: exporting to Google Docs for a quick review before hitting submit.
